I'm Aimée Hill (she/her), and I live in the fantasy worlds of your novels.

If you've written a mystical fantasy, a harrowing dystopia, or a mindboggling sci-fi, I would love to hear from you. My approach to editing is always to seek out the elements of your writing that are fantastic and celebrate it. I use what shines in your manuscript as a foundation to support you to develop and validate your voice. You want constructive criticism for your book. But that doesn't mean you don't need encouragements and fanfare as well!
As an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, I am committed to ongoing training. I have completed the CIEP copyediting and proofreading courses (CE1 and 2, P1) as well as a number of courses from the Publishing Training Centre. This complements my in-house training in copyediting and proofreading from Cambridge University Press (books) and the European Respiratory Society. I have a Master's in Publishing and a first-class honours degree in English Literature.
When I’m not reading or editing, I am usually found stuck into a craft. Whether it be knitting or sewing, I always have something on the go. There is something peaceful in creating something (even if that peace is interrupted by calling the sewing machine mean names).
