A Bit About Me
I set up AJ Editorial Services because I needed a challenge and a new adventure. I had just completed a Master's in Publishing and lost my dream job at Cambridge University Press in the middle of a pandemic. While working a full-time data entry job, I made a new dream and started editing my first full manuscript. Working in Google Docs meant that the author had full access and the process became more collaborative than I had intended. It was that communication and creativity that I fell in love with.
I set about doing training, building networks, and forging paths. The quiet and deliberate process of proofreading punctuates days of erratic line editing. I enjoy the scientific nature of sitting with a text open on Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft word on my computer with a weighty tome, the Chicago Manual of Style, accompanying my journey.
Working with publishers is an important part of my scheduling. It is my pleasure to have worked in various capacities with Epoch Press, Bandit Fiction, The Minison Project, and others. If you'd like to work with me, please get in contact.
